For those who want to experience nature at its best, the golf
course, resort village and provincial park have much to offer

excellent fishing (including a stocked trout pond), pony rides,
mini golf, water sports, and winter activities.
But it gets better
.... Now comes a major expansion of the golf
course into a full golf resort with an additional nine holes,
a full driving range, an RV park, cabins, a residential subdivision
and a marina. Work will continue through 2004 and well into
2005.
Construction on the new residential sub-division is underway,
and construction of new homes is expected to begin sometime
in August.
Development Guidelines and Restrictions
The Candle Lake Golf Resort subdivision has a water system
and sewer system for the benefit of the home owners of
the 80 lot subdivision. The development guidelines have
been
designed to maintain a favorable standard for property
owners:
- No building other than one single-family dwelling with a
three car garage, either attached or detached, and if approved
by the Developer, accessory buildings that do not furnish
residential accommodations.
- A mother-in-law suite, which shall not exceed one bedroom,
may be attached to the principal residence or the garage
to be used solely as a temporary occupancy for invited guest
and under no circumstances may the mother-in-law suite be
used for any permanent residence or for any rental purposes.
- All construction must be with new material only and all building
must be constructed on site. No pre-erected buildings, mobile
homes, ready-to-move homes, or other prefabricated homes
or buildings are allowed on the property.
- No building shall be erected, placed or altered on any lot
until the construction plans and specification and a plan
showing the location of the structure and fencing have been
approved by the Developer as to quality of workmanship and
materials, harmony of external design with existing structures
and as to location with respect to topography and finish
grade elevation.
- The colour and materials of all exterior surfaces will be
subject to the approval of the Developer.
- Swimming pools, either below ground or above ground, may
be allowed provided that the same are approved by the Developer.
- No business or commercial building may be erected on any
lot and no business or commercial activity may be conducted
on any lot.
- No septic tanks shall be permitted and each owner must connect
to the sewer service provided by the Developer.
- Minimum square footage for a single story is 1,040 Sq. Ft.
and 1,250 Sq. Ft. for a multiple level or multiple story
structure.
- No structure shall be erected at a height to exceed 27.9
feet above grade level.
- All lots must have a driveway of stable and permanent construction
extend from the adjacent street to the dwelling.
- All roofing material shall be of high quality and of new
material only.
- All roofs must have a minimum 2 Ft. overhang and there shall
be no exposed metal flues.
